Spring Japanese Sweets “Sakuramochi”

A representative of spring sweets must always be “Sakuramochi”(cherry blossom sticky rice cake).
Although the ingredients and shapes are different in the Kansai and Kanto region, both of them have bean jam inside, and it is also wrapped in salted cherry blossom leaves.

The salted leaves used for Sakuramochi have a slightly salty taste, so they match with sweet sakuramochi and edibles. However, people are divided into eating the leaf or not eating it.

Opinion by “People who eat the leaf”
because its…
*delicious
*difficult to peel it away
*get hands dirty when peeling it away

Opinion by “People who don’t eat the leaf”
because…
*the leaf is a decoration
*don’t like the taste
*the veins of leaf are stiff and hard to eat

It depends on their preferences, but either is fine.
