Popular Rice Bread

Bread is usually made from wheat flour, but, a bread using rice flour is popular in Japan.

You can make delicious bread with rice flour instead of wheat flour, and ferment it with yeast.

It’s popular because even people with wheat allergies can eat it.

A long time ago, we believed it was impossible to make bread with the rice flour because it does not contain gluten.

However, a research team at Yamagata University Faculty of Engineering has developed to make it pregelatinized, and now it’s possible.

Now you can make it easily with home bakery.

The chewy texture is also popular.

パンは普通、小麦粉から作られますが、
日本では米粉を使ったパンが流行っています。
小麦粉のかわりに米粉でも、
イースト菌で発酵させておいしいパンができます。
小麦アレルギーの人でも食べられるので人気です。
昔はグルテンを含んでいない米粉でパンを作ることは
不可能とされていましたが、
山形大学工学部の研究チームが開発した米粉は
アルファ化することでパン作りが可能になりました。
今ではホームベーカリーで簡単に作ることができます。
モチモチした食感も人気です。
