竹入り水羊羹

Takeiri Mizu Yokan

There are many Japanese sweets with Azuki red beans in Japan.

What soft boiled red beans that are kneaded with sugar are called “bean jam”.

When water and ager are added to this they make a jelly called “Yokan”, then it is even more juicy is “Mizu Yokan”.

It’s delicious to eat after cooling it in the refrigerator on a hot day.

“Takeiri Mizu Yokan” is solidified Mizu Yokan in a bamboo tube.

Since the bamboo scent moves to the Yokan slightly and cool looking as summer sweets, it is popular for a souvenir.

日本の和菓子には小豆を使ったものが多いです。
小豆を煮て柔らかくし、砂糖と練ったものが
「あんこ」です。
これに水分や寒天を加えてゼリーのようにしたものが
「羊羹」で、さらに水分の多いものが「水羊羹」です。
水羊羹は冷蔵庫で冷やして暑い日に食べると美味しいです。
「竹入り水羊羹」は、竹の筒の中に水羊羹を入れて
固めたものです。
ほんのり竹の香りが羊羹に移り、
見た目も涼しげで夏のお菓子としてお土産にも人気です。
