Wine Making in Fukushima Prefecture

A nuclear accident five years ago in Fukushima Prefecture happened and have led to a great deal of harm.

There are people who still do not buy agricultural products of Fukushima.
It’s caused a decrease in specialty products such as rice and vegetable sales.

It’s gradually started to pick up, but it still has a long way.

Meanwhile, there are some people who are trying to tackle regional activation by making wine in Fukushima.

Grapes for wine need less care than to be eaten raw, so it opens up new employment opportunities because it’s required for a human to make wine.

If it is successful, they can expect more workers to migrate from other prefectures.
