Food Fraud Scandal

Japanese people are particular about freshness and the accuracy of cooking ingredients.

“Food fraud scandal” has been taken up greatly and has been criticized.

Food is served at restaurants that are different from what the menu says.
For example, it was written that a food was cooked with lobsters, but actually it was found to be whittled shrimp. In addition, the expiration date of cooking ingredients was altered to make it look fresh then sold.

When a problem like this happens, lots of people start to not buy from the shop, and the shop could possibly go bankrupt.
