At a small island floating in the Inland Sea called “Rabbit Island”, Ookunonoshima, Hiroshima prefecture, with around 700 rabbits inhabiting there. It seems that eight rabbits that were kept in elementary school were let go to nature and have spread. Since it is a resort island with a hot spring designed as a national park, it has become a sightseeing spot which rabbit lovers are pleased with. There was a poisonous gas factory in this island at the time of the Russian-Japanese War that made poisonous gas. Now the beautiful island is full of green, land it is hard to believe it has a dark history.
