寺カフェ

tera cafe

There is a “tera cafe” in Daikanyama, Tokyo.

A real Buddhist monk is a resident there and listens to customer’s problems and you can have a nice talk.

The menu at the cafe is a Japanese style or a vegetarian meal, etc.

Although people have many troubles nowadays, they feel hesitant to approach the temple. So it seems like Buddhist monks go to the cafe in the town to spread Buddhism.

Since Buddhist monks are also humans, they are trying to think about customer’s problem and lead the solution with a hint from the teachings of Buddhism.

The tera cafe is popular and there are events such as “Bozu-bar” depending on the day.
