Tokyo Olympics Cigarette Regulations

There were many smokers until the Showa Era in Japan and the scene which people were smoking was everywhere such as downtown and station, even in the train. An ashtray is a restaurant was a common scene and there were no separate facilities for smokers and non smokers.
It’s the time of the Heisei Era, and the number of people who quit smoking have increased gradually, for today not only in the train, absolutely, but also the platform at a station is smoke-free. Separation of smokers and non-smokers have developed in restaurants.
The regulations with it toward the Tokyo Olympics has become a topic. The majority wish that smoking will be called a penalty.
