The New Year’s Card of the Sheep

We have Oriental Zodiac, called “Eto” in Japan and there are 12 animals, which one of them is picked every year in order.
They are: rat, bull, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and boar. 2015 is the year of Sheep.

We have a custom of sending New Year’s Day postcards, called “Nengajo” and Eto is used in them.
This year some people took various sheep illustrations and images, such as sheep at a farm, and put those on a “Nengajo”.

Others had their own cats wear a sheep costume and took a picture to put it on the “Nengajo”.
