Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine Vol.2

A specialty around the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine place is barbecued sparrow. There are shops where it is grilled and is sold in front of the store and inside the store.
It is eaten entirely, even the bones. Since sparrows eat the rice at a rice field, they are considered powerful enemies and roasted and eaten in many places in Japan from the old days. The barbecue is soy sauce flavored and seasoned with Japanese pepper. Sparrows are tasty and have more flavor during the winter where they have more fat, and are hunted during this time.
