Valentine’s Day

February 14th is Valentine’s Day.
Western people send presents and cards to family and friends, however in Japan, women are encouraged to express and confess their love to men by giving them chocolates on that day.
“Honmei-Choco” is a chocolate that women give to men when they love and confess their attraction.”Giri-Choco” is a custom chocolate that women give to their male friends, co-workers and bosses to show gratitude.
“Tomo-Choco” is a recent popular chocolate that is exchanged just for fun between young females and students. The person who receives the chocolate on Valentines Day is supposed to return a gift on March 14th, which is “White Day”.
